Our office's primary practice is asylum-based, but we also practice family and employment-based immigration law.

Summary:
We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team at the Law Office of George D. Hepner, III., primarily in the asylum and family-based practice. This role requires a deep commitment to social justice, strong legal research and writing skills, and the ability to work compassionately with trauma survivors.

Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in asylum and related immigration matters before the immigration court and Boston Asylum Office.
  • Draft legal briefs.
  • Review motions, forms, and other legal documents drafted by paralegals.
  • Conduct new client consultations.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • Strong writing skills with experience in legal drafting.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:
  • Previous court experience.
  • Fluency in Spanish, French, Portuguese, or Lingala.
  • Experience in immigration law, specifically asylum.
  • Demonstrated commitment to immigrant rights, human rights, or public interest law.
