International law firm BCLP, a top Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a highly motivated, well-qualified litigation associate with three to four years of experience to join its nationally recognized Business & Commercial Disputes practice in our Charlotte office. We offer the opportunity to defend global companies with complex, cutting-edge legal issues in all aspects of case development, including trial.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
  • Demonstrated experience working on complex litigation matters in North Carolina Superior Court, Business Court, and Federal District Courts. Experience in North Carolina Bankruptcy Courts a plus.
  • Experience drafting and responding to pleadings and motions.
  • Experience in all stages of discovery, including taking and defending depositions, propounding and responding to written discovery requests, issuing and responding to subpoenas, and handing discovery dispute motions.
  • Experience arguing at hearings.
  • Experience with appellate work and chair trial preferred but not required.
  • Bankruptcy litigation experience a plus.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • A client-focused attitude.
  • Strong academic credentials, highly developed research skills, the ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously, superior work ethic, and a team-oriented mindset.
