A high-profile, AV-rated law firm in Houston seeks a lawyer to join our team. The right candidate will serve an integral role in helping individuals and families who have experienced catastrophic losses caused by defective consumer products and corporate wrongdoing. The ideal candidate will be adept at working with others, highly organized, dependable, self-motivated, and possess a strong work ethic.

Work Experience and Requirements:
  • California licensed
  • At least three years of practice in California state court litigation
  • Experience writing briefs on California discovery and pleading disputes
  • Experience preparing CCP-compliant responses and objections to written discovery
  • Experience meeting and conferring with opposing counsel about discovery matters
  • Experience preparing and presenting clients for deposition
  • Experience deposing non-party fact witnesses
  • Proficient with the use of AI technology and familiar with its strengths and limitations
  • Proficient with California Style Manual
  • Strong task management skills and ability to handle high-volume caseloads
  • Mass tort experience is a major plus
  • Familiarity with JCCP procedures is a plus
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
