Partner with Kirkland & Ellis LLP (New York, NY). Working within the Debt Finance practice group, provide high-level legal advice and representation to clients within the energy and project financing sectors. Requires a J.D. or LL.M. degree, or foreign equivalent. Requires admission to the New York state bar. Requires 5 years of experience as an Associate or related job/role/occupation with an international law firm working in energy and project finance matters. Experience must include the following: Advising clients in the energy and project financing sectors, including on renewable energy projects, infrastructure development, oil and gas transactions, and financing for energy ventures; Advising clients on compliance, regulatory issues and risk management within the energy sector; Coordinating transactions involving multiple stakeholders including government entities, investors, and contractors to align regulatory requirements; Supervising and reviewing project financing documents including addressing complex issues in power purchase agreements, joint ventures, and financing arrangements; and Reviewing and negotiating energy and infrastructure financing transactions.
