Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP is seeking a Finance Associate Attorney with 4+ years of experience to join our San Francisco office, or other Sheppard Mullin office location.

Sheppard Mullin is a global Am Law 50 full-service law firm with over 1,100 attorneys across 16 offices worldwide. The San Francisco office currently has over 100 attorneys who practice in a variety of areas including, Business Litigation, Corporate Transactions, Finance, Real Estate, Entertainment, Intellectual Property, and more.

The Finance practice of Sheppard Mullin has been a key element of the firm's practice since its founding over 90 years ago. As part of a large, broad-based commercial law firm, our commercial lending and financial transactions team is comprised of attorneys specializing in all facets of highly structured financial transactions. We bring a team of fully engaged advisors with the legal and practical problem-solving skills necessary to execute the most complex of financial transactions.

We are currently seeking an associate attorney with over four (4) years of experience working on structured finance transactions including securitization and other capital markets transactions.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the following areas:
  • Knowledgeable about commercial law matters generally including the uniform commercial code, securities law and bankruptcy-related issues;
  • Drafting complex commercial contracts including pooling and servicing agreements, administration agreements, indentures and trust agreements, among others;
  • Ability to draft applicable legal opinions including bankruptcy opinions;
  • Experience managing financial transactions including overseeing the work of the junior associates, drafting and preparing transaction documents and successfully closing transactions.

Candidates must be admitted to and a member in good standing with state bar in which they are located.

The pay range for this position is $310,000 to $390,000.
