Description:

Armstrong Teasdale LLP is seeking an experienced associate with general, commercial, and appellate litigation experience to join its Miami Office. Litigation associates have an exciting opportunity to gain experience from and work closely with energetic, highly experienced legal practitioners in a friendly, cooperative environment. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of general commercial litigation experience. Candidates should have demonstrated experience with all phases of litigation, including appeals. Candidates should be able to drive matters from inception to conclusion.

  • Simultaneously handles the high-level and strategic aspects of multiple legal matters at different stages of progression, from inception to conclusion

Required Education: Juris Doctor

Required Licenses and/or Certifications: Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of Florida; must maintain applicable license renewal and CLE requirements

Preferred Experience: 6+ years' experience as a licensed attorney at a mid to large-sized law firm. Bilingual/Multilingual Speaker. Litigation experience should include both traditional and electronic discovery, preparation for and taking depositions, motion drafting, and active participation in hearings and trial. Outstanding writing, research, analytical and oral advocacy skills. Significant courtroom experience (state and/or federal) including appeals. Strong academic credentials. Demonstrated ability to manage matters and to delegate to and manage junior associates. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a large collaborative team.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Indirect - actively utilizes support staff or junior associates to ensure client satisfaction

Physical Activity: The employee will be required to sit (or utilize a standing desk) for prolonged periods and work on a computer

Travel Required: Generally less than 10%, however, this will be case specific and may, at times, involve more travel.
