The Opportunity:
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Trusts & Estates Partner to join our New York office. This individual will seamlessly integrate into our department, bringing a practice that complements that of our current partners.

Seyfarth seeks an experienced practitioner with a self-sustaining practice who would not, initially, expect to receive a significant volume of work from the firm. However, the current members of the department in the NY office (two partners and a senior counsel) expect to transition their busy practices to the new partner in the intermediate-term future. With a combined total of almost 150 years of practice, a lengthy roster of clients and a bulging Will inventory, this should be a tremendous opportunity for the right attorney.

A partner who brings along an associate and can keep the associate busy would be ideal. Seyfarth currently does not have any T&E associates in the NY office, but would like to add one. We currently fill the gap with a very senior paralegal. It is possible that a small group or partners and associates would be considered.

The Day-To-Day:
Seyfarth's Trusts & Estates attorneys do virtually everything that T&E lawyers do. We focus on sophisticated planning of trusts and estates, trust and estate administration, tax planning, charitable planning, family business and succession planning, international estate planning, and trusts and estates litigation. Our Trusts & Estates attorneys marshal the resources of Seyfarth's full-service platform—including our tax, real estate, corporate and securities, insurance, employee benefits and litigation groups—while providing personal attention that is more typical of an estate-planning boutique. Beyond a thorough knowledge of applicable federal and state tax laws, our team is adept at navigating complex, sensitive family dynamics, as well as the emotional conflicts that often accompany them. Our Trusts & Estates attorneys often represent several generations within the same family—a testament to the effectiveness of our counsel, our long-term commitment to clients, and the loyalty these deep relationships engender.

Seyfarth also has trusts and estates attorneys in our Los Angeles and Chicago offices.
