Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our legal team. As an Associate Attorney, you will have the opportunity to work on family law, bankruptcy, and contract litigation matters. We are looking for an attorney who will diligently represent our clients. Responsibilities:
  • Meet minimum billing requirement of 28 hours per week
  • Knowledge of the California Family Code, Rules of Court Title 5, and Civil procedure
  • Legal Research and analysis
  • Develop case strategies
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
  • Assist with case management and preparation for hearings and trials
  • Communicate with clients, vendors, courts, etc. via telephone and email
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial briefs
  • Supervise legal work of paralegal(s)
  • Represent clients in court; including, but not limited to motion hearings, evidentiary hearings, trials, settlement conferences, and bankruptcy hearings
  • Represent clients at depositions
  • Calendaring and meeting all deadlines

Required Qualifications (Nonnegotiable):
  • Juris Doctorate Degree
  • Eligibility to practice law in California (Active CA State Bar License)
  • One year of experience in Family Law
  • One year of experience in Litigation
  • Ability to follow precise instructions, work with a team, and work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:
  • Bonuses

Ability to commute/relocate:
  • San Diego, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
