Description:
Menn Law Firm, Ltd. is seeking an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to join our growing team. This full-time, on-site position is based primarily in our Green Bay office, with occasional responsibilities in Appleton to support client needs.

We're looking for an attorney who is passionate about helping clients navigate some of life's most difficult transitions with clarity, empathy, and strength. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience handling contested and uncontested divorces, marital property agreements, adoptions, and guardianships.

You should be comfortable managing your own caseload, advocating confidently in and out of court, and guiding clients through emotionally charged matters with professionalism and compassion. Strong communication, case strategy, and client relationship skills are essential for this role.

This is an opportunity to build a meaningful family law practice within a respected, collaborative firm that values integrity, advocacy, and service.

If you're ready to take your career to the next level in a supportive environment that respects both skill and heart, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in contested and uncontested divorce proceedings, including high-conflict cases.
  • Provide legal counsel and draft marital property agreements, prenuptial agreements, and postnuptial agreements.
  • Handle adoption and guardianship matters, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Advocate for clients in negotiations, mediation, and court hearings.
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies tailored to client needs.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.
  • Travel occasionally to the firm's Appleton office as needed.
  • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action
  • Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings
  • Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process
  • Keep client files properly organized and up to date
  • Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Wisconsin and in good standing with the State Bar.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in family law, specifically in contested and uncontested divorce, marital property agreements, adoptions, and guardianships.
  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills, particularly in high-conflict divorce cases.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with a team.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Compassionate and client-focused approach to family law representation.
  • Extra consideration for those with a criminal justice background
  • Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required
  • Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high
  • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
  • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required
