Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of first-party property insurance claims from inception through resolution, including conducting detailed case assessments and developing effective litigation strategies.
Provide radical customer service experience to clients by providing case updates, gathering necessary information, and offering legal advice. Prepare and present case evaluations and legal recommendations.
Perform comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and strategy. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
Represent clients in court appearances, including hearings, trials, and mediations. Argue motions and present evidence before judges and juries.
Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel, insurance companies, and other relevant parties. Develop negotiation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Supervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks
Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs
Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings
Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies
Qualifications:
2-4 years of recent experience in First-Party Property Insurance required
Licensed member of the Florida Bar Association required
Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a law firm environment
Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required
Able to work independently while handling multiple files
Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Suite is necessary
Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required
Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience
Work independently while handling a heavy caseload
Ability to use Microsoft Office is required
Compensation:
$90,000 - $135,000 yearly
