Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP is seeking a junior Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join our Century City office.

Sheppard Mullin is a global Am Law 100 full-service law firm with over 1,000 attorneys across 16 offices worldwide. We are currently recruiting for an outstanding associate with 2-3 years of litigation experience, including single plaintiff actions involving claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other areas of California labor & employment law. Our L&E practice group prides itself on employing attorneys who can take ownership of matters, with experience in all stages of litigation. Candidates with strong experience in other areas of general commercial and civil litigation with an interest in transitioning into employment are also encouraged to directly apply.

  • Strong litigation skills
  • Mediation and arbitration
  • Trial experience is ideal
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Researching, writing and arguing motions
  • Conducting complex fact investigations and analysis
  • Ability to take ownership of cases with minimal oversight

Please note this position is separate and distinct from openings available in the Firm's other offices, including our Downtown LA office.

The annual salary range for this position is $250,000 to $310,000.
