About the role:
Engleman Fallon seeks a highly motivated attorney with 3-5 years FERC experience. This position is ideal for an individual seeking a remote position that does not have to be full time. The successful candidate would receive a guaranteed base salary plus an hourly rate for any additional hours worked.

Required Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and membership in at least one state bar in addition to the District of Columbia bar (firm will pay to waive into DC Bar)
  • Minimum of 3 years of legal experience practicing energy law, including but not limited to at a law firm or the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)

Relevant Experience/Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have experience in some or all of the following areas:
  • FERC wholesale electric markets and all of the issues associated with such markets, such as market based rate applications, approvals under Section 203 of the Federal Power Act, exempt wholesale generators, qualifying facilities, the Public Utility Holding Company Act and interlocking directorates;
  • Interconnection to the electric transmission grid;
  • Order No. 1000 and the continued litigation around the implementation of that rule;
  • Electric transmission formula rates;
  • Good writing and research experience a must.
