Responsibilities and practice:
The Washington, DC office of Dentons US LLP is seeking an Antitrust Associate to join our growing and sophisticated Federal Regulatory & Compliance Practice. Candidates should have excellent academic credentials, 3-6 years of antitrust experience, and significant Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) pre-merger notification experience. Our associates work collaboratively with our partners and clients and are key members of our team. Expected responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Working on HSR pre-merger notifications and advising clients
Antitrust analysis related to mergers and acquisitions
Assisting with responding to Second Requests
Advising clients on antitrust aspects of business operations and market conduct
Assisting clients with antitrust compliance programming, risk assessment, and training
Supporting the team on business development and other Federal Regulatory & Compliance related matters as needed
Pursuant to DC law, the salary range for this position in Washington, DC is $235,000 to $390,000, based on experience. Based on years of experience, Dentons associates may have a title of Associate, Managing Associate, or Senior Managing Associate. Personal skills/attributes:
Is dedicated and goal-oriented, with a strong work ethic
Possesses superior organizational and time-management skills
Demonstrates sound judgment and possess keen attention to detail
Has exceptional analytical and writing skills
Demonstrates an ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients
Technical skills:
3-6 years of antitrust experience is required
Significant pre-merger notification experience is required
Strong case management and communication skills are required
Experience with antitrust compliance programs is strongly preferred
Prior government agency or law firm experience is strongly preferred
Other Requirements:
Should be licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia and be in good standing
