Responsibilities and practice:
Dentons US LLP is seeking a staff attorney to join our sophisticated Litigation practice in our Miami office. Candidates should have excellent academic credentials, 3-5 years of legal experience, and proven ability to manage complex litigation and investigations. Our associates work collaboratively with our partners and clients and are key members of our team. Expected responsibilities will include, but are not limited to
:
Drafting and preparing briefs, pleadings, motions and other documents for court cases and arbitrations
Conducting legal research and writing memoranda
Managing complex disputes, including running discovery
Taking and defending depositions and related work with witnesses and experts
Working on all aspects of disputes from inception through trial and appeal where relevant
Supporting the team on business development and other litigation-related matters as needed

Based on years of experience, Dentons US LLP associates may have a title of Associate, Managing Associate, or Senior Managing Associate. Position Requirements:
Personal skills/attributes:
Has exceptional writing and analytical skills
Is dedicated and goal-oriented, with a strong work ethic
Possesses superior organizational and time-management skills
Demonstrates an ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, as well as adversaries and courts
Has excellent interpersonal, networking and business development skills
Technical skills:
3-5 years of commercial litigation experience in a law firm
Strong writing and case management skills, direct experience handling clients and adversaries, and excellent oral advocacy skills
Deposition and court experience is preferred
Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship is a plus
Class action litigation experience is a plus
Other Requirements:
Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Florida and be in good standing
Must include a law school transcript and strong writing sample with application
