Mayer Brown seeks a Partner for the Corporate & Securities practice to provide legal guidance to clients on complex domestic and international transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and minority investments. Represent private equity sponsors, family offices, and strategics on their investments in the financial services, life sciences, media, telecommunications and technology sectors, with a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI), supercomputing, and digital infrastructure. Cultivate client relationships and implement business development strategies. Manage and oversee the work of associate attorneys and legal staff. #LI-DNI
Position requires a Juris Doctor degree, followed by 7 years of progressively responsible experience with advising on transactions in AI, supercomputing, datacenter, and digital infrastructure of cross border Merger & Acquisition transactions. Experience must include: 7 years of experience with coordinating global teams of legal experts in advising on multi-jurisdictional transactional matters; 5 years of experience with negotiating and drafting commercial agreements in advertising tech, and advising clients on related data privacy and IP considerations; 5 years of experience with advising family offices, Private Equity funds, and strategics on Emerging Companies & Venture Capital and late-stage investments in the tech and life sciences sectors; and 5 years of experience with tax structuring and implications in cross-border transactions for private equity and other alternative managers at both the transaction and fund-level. Part-time telecommuting may be permitted. Must be admitted to practice law in good standing in New York or another US state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
